This module encourages students to explore local traditional building materials and techniques and how they have influenced human development. They investigate the opportunities for sustainable building and renovation in relation to the local landscape, the water cycle, circular building materials, food security and energy production.

Like other living beings, humans have the right to reshape the environment according to their needs, but we must not diminish the rights of other beings to the environment necessary for their lives.

Learn how to design holistic and sustainable living environments that meet our needs without compromising the quality of life of other beings.

What are the local environmentally friendly building materials and traditional and also contemporary building techniques that can be used to build infrastructures to meet our needs, fitting into the local ecosystems and helping them to keep or restore their richness.
